MINISTER KABONEKA MEETS WITH MUSANZE BUSINESS COMMUNITY

The Minister of Local Government, Hon Kaboneka Francis, visited Musanze District on Thursday purposely to meet with the local business to discuss business promotion urban development.

Minister Kaboneka was flanked by the Governor of Northern Province Gatabazi Jean Marie Vianney and heads of security organs at provincial and district levels.

The Minister commended the business community of Musanze District for ongoing transformational and urban development initiatives, especially the completed GOICO Plaza Ltd complex.

He urged those with old commercial houses to transform them according to the City master plan aiming at modernization and urban development.

Minister Kaboneka said; “Government is committed to invest in infrastructure development, and we want to see modern private investments taking place across the City, especially in the commercial area”.

The Bank of Kigali and others pledged to support private investors, but they urged participants to develop joint projects, because they are more secure and bankable projects.

Minister promised to them that; the Government shall ensure ease of doing business, and he urged them to get together and develop big investments, not only for their own good, but for the good of their children and families at large.

Having recognized the prevailing security in the country, participants resolved to develop a practical road map for urban transformation, and to meet regularly to review the achievements.

Minister Kaboneka Francis is also the Cabinet Focal person in Musanze district since 2014.
