MINISTER KABONEKA RALLIES RUSIZI COMMUNITY FOR BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT


Minister Kaboneka speaks to business community and opinion leaders in Rusizi district

During his official visit to Rusizi District, the Minister of Local Government, Hon Kaboneka Francis, met with local business community and opinion leaders and discussed about urban and business development.

The meeting took place on 31st October 2017 in the district hall in Kamembe.

Minister Kaboneka was flanked by the Governor of Western Province Munyantwali Alphonse, Mayor of Rusizi District Harerimana Frederic, security organs officials, and the chairperson of the private sector in Rusizi District.

The meeting gathered the district leadership, security organs, private sector, civil society, opinion leaders and the Chief Executive Officer of the Development Bank of Rwanda (BRD).

Participants discussed of urban development, master plan led housing and settlement, local economic development and investment promotion, hygiene and sanitation, doing business and tackling local opportunities and potentialities.

Minister Kaboneka urged participants to promote hygiene and sanitation. He also encouraged them to exploit the prevailing security in the area for import-export and business promotion so that they can make clean money.

Rusizi residents were encouraged to buy shares and to own the soon to be open Kivu Marina Bay five star hotel, because it is about investment and savings promotion.
