THE GOVERNMENT AND RELIGIOUS LEADERS OWE THE CITIZENS THE SAME SERVICE – MINISTER SHYAKA

Today the Minister of Local Government, Prof Shyaka Anastase officiated prayer breakfast that took place at Kigali Serena Hotel and was attended officials including members of Rwanda Government, MPs, different dignitaries and leaders of religious communities among others.

Minister Shyaka addressing the participants of Prayer Breakfast which is organised by Rwanda Leaders Fellowship under today’s theme: « Transformative Leadership in this period of Genocide remembrance. »

Minister Shyaka thanked the organizers for their continuous commitment to expand the function which is now descending to provincial level.

“We’d like to thank Rwanda Leaders Fellowship for continuous commitment to organise the function which brings about God’s grace and blessings upon Rwanda; and it is now getting expanded to provincial level as last time you did in eastern province.” Minister said.

Minister Shyaka said: “Partnership between Rwandan government and religious leaders in upgrading the life of the citizens is a Godly fundamental that the government recognises.” Genocide against Tutsi is an everlasting scar to Rwanda; rebuilding new and good Rwanda constitutes a capital which cannot fail; and remembering the victims of the genocide is a remedy to the bad history.”

He also reiterated that today’s theme reminds the participants to stick to three fundamentals including unity of Rwandans; service to our citizens and sustainability of good governance.

Dr Richard Ramesh preached on: “Effective leadership for transformative opportunities in the challenging time”.
