Governance and Decentralization Sector Working Group approved five-year Sector Strategic Plan
Kigali - on 28 May 2024, the Governance and Decentralization Sector Working Group held a Foward-Looking Joint Sector Review Meeting chaired by Mr. Bob Gakire, the Permanent Secretary of MINALOC and o-chaired by Dr. Marc De Santis, the Regional Director of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC).
The meeting validated a five-year Governance and Decentralization Sector Strategic Plan (2024/2025 - 2028/2029).
The meeting was also an opportunity to assess the achievements of the past 7 years in the Governance and Decentralization Sector and discuss a plan for the next year.
The Foward-Looking Joint Sector Review Meeting ended on a high note, and the Governance and Decentralization Sector Working Group renewed a roadmap for advancing good governance, decentralisation and citizen participation among other goals.
