Social Cluster field visit in Bugesera District
On Wednesday the 26th June 2019, The Minister of state in charge of Social Affairs Hon. Dr. Alvera Mukabaramba accompanied by officials from different Government institutions carried out a field visit in Bugesera District to assess social welfare programmes in Mayange, Gashora and Nyamata sectors respectively.
This joint team lead by Minister of State Hon. Dr. Alvera Mukabaramba assessed Infrastructure, School feeding program, hygiene and sanitation and school dropout rate at G.S. Mayange in Mayange Sector and NEGA (New Explorers Girls Academy).
They also visited Gashora Health Posts to scrutinize the delivery of health care services, Community Based Health Insurance (CHBI) subscription status among others.
The team led by the Hon. Minister of State concluded their tour at Kanazi Cell in Nyamata Sector as the area has recently been affected by disasters that destroyed schools, individual houses, crops and livestock.
