Dr Mukabaramba bids farewell after 8 years
Wednesday, the former Minister of State in charge of Social Affairs Dr. Mukabaramba Alvera who was recently appointed to the Senate, handed over her former responsibilities to the Hon. Minister Shyaka Anastase, after 8 years in service at the Ministry of Local Government.
Dr. Mukabaramba Alvera was in the office since October 10, 2011 until last month, September 20, 2019 when the President of the Republic appointed her to Senate.
In her farewell speech at the handover ceremony, Hon. Mukabaramba thanked His Excellency President of the Republic Paul Kagame for the continued trust in her.
“I am happy to have been serving my country at MINALOC. The support from MINALOC staff enabled my achievements while in the office.” She said
The dossiers she submitted to the Minister contain a number of ongoing projects including the Social Protection Policy, Ubudehe Categorization Review, citizen complaints, to name a few.
In collaboration with the Minister of Local Government, Dr. Alivera Mukabaramba as the Minister of State in charge of Social Affairs and Social Protection was responsible for developing, disseminating, supervising and coordinating policies and programs aimed at ensuring and promoting social protection throughout the country.
