Minister Shyaka joins residents of Rukara Sector in Umuganda
Saturday, 25 May 2019, Hon. Minister of Local Government Prof. Shyaka Anastase joined residents of Rukara Sector, Kayonza District in monthly Umuganda (community works).
Participants, include - a high delegation from Angola lead by Anna Paula, Minister of territorial planning and housing; members of the Parliament of Rwanda, Governor of Eastern Province, Mayor of Kayonza District, Chairman of NIC, security organs, among others.
At this event, hundreds of Rukara residents and leaders from different institutions laid a foundation stone for the construction of a house for Nyirabagarura Esperance who had no place where to stay with her family; and created drainage for Km 3.5 road in Buyonza village, Rukara cell.
Addressing the residents, Minister Shyaka Anastase encouraged them “to upgrade their living standards (putting more emphasis on hygiene and sanitation); to improve their productivity; Fight malnutrition and stunting; and preserve our security.”
