MoS Dr. Mukabaramba hailed Ebola preparedness at La Corniche Border Post-Gisenyi
Rubavu, on her one-day visit in Rubavu District on Saturday 27th July 2019, the Minister of State in Charge of Social Affairs Dr. Mukabaramba Alvera visited La Corniche One Stop Border Post commonly known as “Grande Barrière” to witness the Ebola preparedness at this border entry point that links Rwanda with DR Congo.
Joint team now working at the border took the Minister of State Dr. Mukabaramba Alvera through a strong screening system established by the Ministry of Health, and measures put in place to prevent Ebola Virus outbreak in Rwanda.
At the end of the tour, Dr. Mukabaramba hailed the “Good Job” that MINISANTE is doing at “Grande Barrière” especially the way preventive measures, such as washing hands and screening, have not had a significant negative impact on cross border activities on both sides. She as well commended border facilities including a health post.
Minister of State Dr. Mukabaramba Alvera made this visit right after monthly Umuganda that took place at Rugerero Sector.
